Meet Raymond

Raymond Christopher is a trial lawyer who has tried cases to verdict. He previously served as a Florida Assistant Attorney General, but for most of his career he has been a plaintiff’s lawyer—often taking on David-and-Goliath battles against powerful opponents. Raymond also developed the slogan “Rays Up and Fight!” as a reflection of his commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with clients for justice.

Raymond earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Ave Maria School of Law and is a member of the Florida Bar, the Florida Justice Association, and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He is also admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle, and Southern District Courts of Florida, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Outside the courtroom, Raymond has lived in Southwest Florida for over 20 years. He enjoys life near the water, especially the ocean, and is passionate about fishing.

Meet David

Trusted Trial Lawyer | Experienced Advocate

David Asti is a seasoned trial lawyer with over a decade of experience representing individuals and government agencies in complex civil cases throughout Florida. He has handled matters involving personal injury, civil rights, torts, employment disputes, constitutional issues, and appeals, earning a reputation as both a strong courtroom advocate and a skilled negotiator.

Before joining Ave Maria Law Center, David served as Chief Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida, where he led a team of attorneys who tried high-stakes cases in state and federal courts. He also gained invaluable experience working in-house at the U.S. Postal Service National Tort Center, where he defended claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act. In that role, David worked directly with insurance adjusters and claims examiners, evaluating liability, damages, and settlement across a wide range of personal injury and tort matters. He learned firsthand the tactics large institutions and insurers used to minimize payouts, delay resolution, and avoid responsibility.

That experience now gives David a distinct advantage when representing plaintiffs. He knows how insurance companies and government entities evaluate claims, the strategies they use in negotiation, and the pressure points that drive fair settlements. Armed with that insider knowledge, David levels the playing field for his clients and helps them pursue justice against well-resourced defendants.

David is admitted to practice in all Florida courts, the U.S. District Courts for Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Clients value David’s steady guidance, practical advice, and commitment to achieving the best possible results.
